You must not know how to code before you can build an aesthetically pleasing website. No offence to coders (I write codes too). However, sometimes you'd need some of the flexibility and efficiency no-code tools bring along.

If you're a designer, entrepreneur, small business owner etc, learning to build your own website can be an additional and handy skill. If you're a freelancer like me, it's always advisable to know how to use one or more of these no-code tools in order to meet the needs of potential clients.

No-code tools are softwares you can use to build and manage websites without writing code.

Interesting? Yes!

The end result of no-code tools is that it makes building a website accessible to anyone – even people who aren’t developers.

What you can build with no-code tools

Literally everything that lives on the web

• Business websites
• eCommerce stores
• Blogs
• Portfolios
• Resumes
• Forums
• Social networks
• Membership sites
• …pretty much anything else you can dream up.

That said, let's delve into a few of my favorite no-code tools and what you can do with them.

Wix

Wix is arguably the easiest website builder due to its wide range of free templates. You can choose from over 500 industry-specific templates and make use of its incredible drag-and-drop editor. Or if you'd prefer, use Wix ADI and let Wix design a website for you! You can also decide to build your own website from scratch. Wix is completely free, for as long as you want. If you need professional features like your own domain name or ecommerce, you'd have to choose from one of their premium plans ranging from “Combo” to “Business VIP”.

There a probably a lot of people using wix templates, so I'd advice you edit your websites to represent the brand, so its uniqueness won't be lost in the sea of similar websites. In other words, don't copy and paste templates.

Wordpress

This is the most popular no-code tool for building websites I know. Many years ago, WordPress was primarily a tool to create a blog, rather than more traditional websites. Nowadays, you can create any type of website with WordPress, due its widely available plugins, themes and addons.

Webflow

Webflow has been around for a couple of years, but not so many people know about it. I've been recently working around building my first website with it. One major cool stuff about Webflow is the ability to export your entire project code. How cool is that?!!

Dragging and dropping a bunch of tools, and then exporting the entire things as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

This is the coolest thing that has ever happened to no-code designers y'all.
